Privacy Statement

Since we are in the business of selling information we know how sensitive our customers are about giving out their personal information. When we first started doing business on the internet in 1996 we were the first company to place a privacy statement on our website. As the years have passed others have followed our lead and we have continued this pledge.
"We will not give out or sell any information which we obtain from our customers, and we will only return results to the person or organization that originated the order.

VeriRes strongly believes that privacy is one of the values and entitlements of a free society and as such we adhere to the highest ethical standards in providing outstanding service to our customers, while respecting the privacy of individuals. It is our aim and purpose to serve as a provider of public information and other proprietary data resources to businesses, so as to strike a necessary balance between personal privacy and public trust. VeriRes provides data to help employers and businesses in the screening and selection process.

The information provided by VeriRes is obtained from courts, government agencies, credit bureaus and reputable third party businesses that have collected public record information from its sources. As such, we provide access only to qualified businesses and licensed business professionals who can demonstrate appropriate use for the information and who agree to abide by all local and federal laws in the acquisition and application of such information.

All VeriRes data comes from public record sources or directly from the three credit bureaus, Trans Union, Experian and Equifax. While the physical look of the information may vary from the original source, the content of the information provided by VeriRes accurately reflects what is found in public records or is provided by the bureaus. We therefore cannot reduce this data or omit any record in our files.

VeriRes does not sell its information to the general public. We do not maintain any databases of non-public financial information, medical records or tax records. Although VeriRes is a reseller of consumer credit reports, these reports are provided only to a subset of VeriRes customers who meet the approval requirements of the bureaus. VeriRes merely serves as a vehicle for delivering these reports and does not change the reports or save the information in our databases. VeriRes does not compile mailing lists or consumer marketing data. Our data is used only by qualified businesses that sign a written agreement restricting their use of our information.
